The primary responsibility of the SURVEY MANAGER is the safe, accurate, and efficient management of the survey department for a civil contractor.
Responsibilities:
- Supervising field survey crews and office CAD Technician
- Providing survey crews with data needed for field layout
- Preparing GPS machine grade control files
- Preparing and signing as-builts as needed
- Working with and training project site personnel in the use of GPS tools to assist in the layout of projects
- Survey calculation
- As-built data collection
- Construction layout of sitework and utilities utilizing GPS and robotic total station to supplement field crews as needed
- Keeping detailed notes and logs
Qualifications:
- 5 years survey experience
- Must be a PE, RLS, PSM, or other designation required for sealing as-builts
- Clean driving record
- Detail oriented
- Able to work independently
- Reliable
- Excellent problem-solving skills
