The primary responsibility of the Lowboy/Transport Driver is to transport construction equipment and materials between jobsites in a safe and timely manner utilizing a tri-axle road tractor and tri-axle trailer.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform Daily DOT walk-around inspection of Tractor and Trailer.

Must have knowledge and experience operating and moving equipment.

Safely Load and Unload Heavy Equipment.

Safely chain down equipment, vehicles, and any material being transported.

Must possess good time management skills to help plan routes and to ensure equipment is delivered safely and on time.

Must be able to follow instructions and use GPS to locate job sites.

Must follow established DOT routes for over-dimensional loads.

Maintain cleanliness of the truck by washing regularly and polishing chrome.

Must be able to drive the truck in unpredictable weather conditions and navigate heavy traffic.

Qualifications

CDL Class A with Tanker and Hazmat endorsement required.

Demonstrate experience driving and operating equipment safely.

Clean Driving record

Prior experience is required.

Must be able to pass a drug and background check in accordance with local/state and federal laws/regulations.

Work Environment

Work is performed outside in varying types of environmental conditions. The requirements of this position involve extended periods of strenuous physical activity under various field and weather conditions. Applicant must be able to lift, carry, stand, walk on uneven surfaces, manually manipulate, grasp, reach out, climb, kneel, bend, twist, and push/pull.
